The GSQC/ENA Examiner Training Program is closely aligned with the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program’s training which is nationally recognized as a leadership development program by Leadership Excellence magazine. It is available to anyone living or working in New England or New York. This training is part of the ExcellenceNorth Alliance Baldrige-based Awards and Recognition Program and can also be taken as training only to improve your organization or enhance your career

Baldrige-based Award and Recognition
ExcellenceNorth Alliance offers a variety of facilitated and web-based services that assess your organization’s progress towards Performance Excellence and prioritize the most beneficial next steps. ExcellenceNorth Alliance Assessment services are affordable and provide organizations critical information for:

•Establishing a common focus on organizational strengths and opportunities for improvement
A quick and easy-to-use introductory tool to assess your organization’s performance and learn what you can improve. Available in both hard copy and as a customizable electronic tool. Cost: survey tool is free complements of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program; additional support services available from ExcellenceNorth Alliance.
Developing a Baldrige-based Organizational Profile creates a foundation for any performance improvement initiative. It helps to identify potential gaps which may impact progress and create a common focus on what is most important for sustained success. ExcellenceNorth Alliance can support your organization in developing and/or assessing your Organizational Profile. Cost: Organizational Profile questions and quick assessment are free; more extensive support available.

The Dr. Sylvio Dupuis Community Excellence Award
January 2021 – ExcellenceNorth Alliance (ENA) announces the creation of the “Dr. Sylvio Dupuis Community Excellence Award” to recognize New Hampshire communities that reflect Dr. Dupuis’ lifelong work to improve communities for the benefit of citizens and families in New Hampshire.
Purpose: To help Northern New England communities develop, grow, and sustainably prosper through recognition, feedback, encouragement, and sharing with other communities.
Scope: This award is for communities, including the community leaders (formal and informal), that have and are committing time, energy, and resources for the long-term benefit and improvement of the community.
A Community is not limited by boundaries and is defined as a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. This includes cities, towns, neighborhoods, and regions.
Community leaders are those who guide and direct the community and its improvement efforts
- Projects or initiatives focused on the long-term improvement of the Community are eligible for the Award:
The project or initiative must be recent (in the last five years). - A project or initiative from a Community can only receive the Award once (a Community cannot submit a project or initiative if it has previously received the Award).
Eligible projects or initiatives demonstrate: A clear purpose with tangible benefits related to some or all of the following
- economic conditions
- quality of life
- education
- public health
- Ingenuity and innovation to support the purpose
- Collaboration with other individuals or groups
Application Deadline April 30, 2021. Includes application form and letter of support/endorsement from one or more members of the community.
Applications will be reviewed in May. All Applications that meet requirements will receive feedback.
Candidates for the award are presented to a Judges Panel for final approval. There is no limit to the number of awards presented.
The inaugural Dr. Sylvio Dupuis Community Excellence Awards event will be held on June 22, 2021 – Time TBD
